I think Forbes, and anybody who knows anything about their standing in the world of business, would strongly disagree with that assessment.

It's iffy.
Sports teams (typically) are not publicly traded companies (though their owners might be) so Forbes is really only making their best guess.
However, when it comes to finance, Forbes' best guess is (most likely) pretty bang on.

I thought New York Rangers were #1 for the over 10 years now. Not sure why I thought that if it weren't true.
I can easily see Montreal being #2 and then Toronto Maple Leafs, so really this is 100% the way I thought this list to be.Master List: Hidden Content
