Novice Collector From Toronto

What's going on SCF community!? I'm a new collector from Toronto and I love hockey memorabilia especially anything related to the Maple Leafs. I've always wanted to begin collecting cards not but never decided to actually go forward with it. So I've finally decided to take the leap and make the card collecting my new hobby :)

I've been reading a lot of opinions online and it seemed that many people recommended the Upper Deck NHL 2015-2016 Series 1 as a good starter for a novice like me. With the McDavid card being out it only made it that much better. So using the money I won in a work raffle I decided to buy 1 Hobby box and 2 Tin sets.

What I'm trying to do it collect the 200 basic cards first then focus on the Young Guns/Portrait series. I'm planning on picking up one hobby pack tomorrow with the last of my winnings too...C'mon McDavid! Eventually I want to focus on collecting for a single Maple Leafs player but I'm torn between who to focus on.

So I'm pretty much here to learn the craft of card collecting and learn the basics from what's the best way to store your cards to how to trader. Looking forward to it!

If you guys have any advice off the bat I'd appreciate it :)
