I would love a centennial set for the Leafs !

Good idea...that would be a landmark set for me for sure. One of those things where all sanity would go out the window and money that I don't have would be spent for sure...lots of foodless months!

The Canadiens set was incredible! All I could get in the USA was tins at Target, but I managed to get some autos and finish most of the base and sp set 1-300 (eventually finished at the Expo).

I would love to see a Leafs set get made.

The opportunity to pick up Autos of some of the living all-time greats, Pat Boutette, Claire Alexander, Rocky Saginuk..............even Don Cherry might be tempted to snag a box.

So someone on Reddit I think it was brought up a very good point in respect to the Leafs centennial. The Leafs celebrated 75 years in 2002 so while 2017 might be the anniversary of an NHL team being in Toronto in some form it isn't technically the centennial of the actual Leafs team, but really the centennial of the combined Toronto teams. So maybe the real centennial won't happen until 2027. Maybe by then the Leafs will be able to make the playoffs and the NHL might give everything to the team like they did for the Habs.

2001-2002 The Leafs celebrated their 85th Anniversary as a franchise, and their 75th Anniversary as the Maple Leafs from when Smythe bought and renamed the team as he had a wee problem with the team being the St. Pats. <cough-cough-he didn't like the Irish-cough>.
