Off the top of my head, and in retrospect, probably a 2004-05 UD Legendary AKA Signatures Jean Beliveau "Le Gros Bill" inscribed auto /100. I let a few go by in the $60-70 range a few years ago. Since Jean passed, and the set is older and harder to come by now, the last two have sold closer to $200. Woops! I'm doing the set and am down to the last 3 (Iafrate "Wild Thing" and Mark Johnson "Captain America"... that he never inscribed, are the other two).

"The one that got away...."
This is an awesome (and painful) thread :) I will do some thinking and try and post it! Definitely been through some tough auctions over the years, as most of us probably have!Jhonas Enroth Card Collector & Host of the Hidden Content

There have been a lot of great cards that have slipped away above. I've decided that instead of dwelling on the deep sorrow of my failed PC pickup I'm going to just go back to piecing together my minor PC's. It should eventually pop back up. Still doesn't make the rotgut feeling go away though.

Well boys, if there's a doom and gloom feel to this thread, what about bounce backs? Not long after losing out on the 1911-12 C55 Ridpath, I did manage to snag a Hamby Shore card from the same set...For $8!! Granted, condition wise, nowhere near a BVG Graded 8, but still....
Always looking for Senators cards! Must be a draft pick, or the card is identifiable as a Senators card before I want it!
Until further notice, I ship on Mondays. Only day off, so only chance to get to the Post Office.

I'm on a tablet, so pictures are difficult! If I can get a decent pic, I'll post one!

Not the best pic, but trying to use what is basically a selfie camera to take pictures is tough!

"the one that got away" was a 2013-14 Panini National Treasures Signature Shields #SHDDU Devan Dubnyk #/1... The first ever shield I have come across for Dubnyk. It had a high price tag / OBO on this one. I believe I forked out a very reasonable offer(this was when Dubnyk was sent back into the AHL); So I didn't expect heavy competition on a Dubnyk card. The seller accepted an offer $20US more shortly after. I still have nightmares of this one haha. To this day I shall look for it once again on my quest of obtaining a shield.

I remember missing out on a 03-04 SPA FWA Patch of Marc-Andre Fleury back when I started to collect him. Still kick myself on that because the auction price was pretty cheap!
