    Feedback Transfer From Other Sites

Sports Card Forum will soon be transferring feedback from the following sites:

    Trader Retreat
    Hobby Insider
    Rusty Soap Box
    The Bench
    Sports Card Freaks
    UCB
    NUTS

This feedback transfer has a simple purpose; to allow member in good standing from other sites to by pass the Must Send First rule. This list is the initial list of sites we feel have a solid feedback system and may expand.

Soon, members wishing to transfer feedback from another site will contact the designated SCF staff. A SCF staff member will review the member's information and add a feedback score and the specific site the feedback was transfered from to the member's profile. For example:

    Feedback Transfered: (25) Trader Retreat

This will reside in a members posting profile and the member will NOT be required to send first even if they have no SCF feedback.

I feel that a member in excellent standing at another site should not have to start from scratch on SCF. If you go get a new job you typically don't start from scratch. You send your new employer your resume and that new company starts you out at an appropriate level. SCF should be no different.

Please know that we will spend a lot of extra time ensuring this feedback is legit. Again, the sole purpose of this program is to allow members in good standing at other sites to come to SCF and by pass the Must Send First rule. This will not effect your member rank. If you already have 20 SCF feedback please do not request that we transfer feedback from another site.

This program will start soon so stay tuned!

Well glad to see it instituted as some members said this was one thing that kept them from staying here the MSF. Of course it for everyone benefit as how do we truly know who is good and bad. This just makes SCF and other sites work together to try to protect the hobby as a cohesive whole which is good if information is shared.

No, the feedback is only pulled over to help new SCF members establish themselves to not be subjected to the MSF under 20 rule. That's all this is used for...

Ok, so if we're already past the MSF threshold, should we bother having our feedback transferred? I think it's a great idea for traders trying to expand their trading base to other boards. Are any other boards reciprocating this policy?

No need to transfer if you have 20 or more trades.

Trader Retreat is the only other site that I know of that transfers feedback. Actually, references and feedback are a requirement to be a member there.

I would send a pm to TONY OR MIKE. As they will be able to give you a time frame for sure.
