    Thanks all - no need to report the 500 error, it is actually proof the server is well configured.

    I am disabling the security system as soon as I have done some testing, should take no more than 30 more minutes.

    Yes, we are trying to implement a new technology for the search function.

    In the old server, searching for some popular words like 'trade' or 'card', could take up to 24s, sometimes reaching 40s, sometimes bringing the whole server down. In the new server, the same search takes 2-4 seconds. When cached, they can take as low as 0.4s. With the new technology we are trying to implement, the same search takes 0.2-0.4 seconds even when it has not been cached yet.

    The only problem is that there is some issue when sorting results with this technology, so we must give it a try and see what's the reaction of the users, and see if they notice any difference in the results. Basically results are no longer sorted by date but by keyword relevancy.

    Forums are currently setup to use vBulletin's internal search, but Mike will be able to enable Sphinx for testing whenever he wants to.
