Exclamation Where Has Common Manners Gone?? (Yes This Is A Rant)

This site has become filled with rude and unresponsive people it seems like now? People don't respond to your thread after they post there? they are mean, they lowball you? this is truly not a hobby for people its getting the lowest value and wanting the best card. its sickening. i get people who respond to a thread of mine. i give them a price or what i like for a trade/sell. no reply comes back? the least you can say is no thank you. it takes 5 seconds and would keep my respect, but when you dont even take 5 seconds to respond its just rude! i respond to every post that i post or that someone else does, unless there on my ignore list, because they're there for a reason. i know there are still traders but there are just so many bad one's now. with more members come so many bad one's. and some of the more veteran traders are becoming unhappy. (especially me). does anyone have anyone have respect for one another anymore?
this has become a very big issue to me. and i think this needs to be discussed.

    end of my rant now

EDIT: also, i've been finding that alot of people are to immature, and i think the age limit is to much. 13 year olds are not ready to be on this site (atleast most of them) just my opinion, but "if you look at a picture of a good looking person and say "ew" or "gross" than your not mature enough" (quote used by a fellow member of scf) lol

I extremely agree with you 100%!! It does seem that all people care about is getting the best card at the cheapest deal with no attention to courtesy.

Also, when someone replies back to an offer they don't like, just say "Ok, but no thank you." Not, "Woah!! I think I'll pass", or "Sorry, I can get it cheaper somewhere else."

If you don't like an offer... make a counter offer at least!!!

if im not sure on a price i make, i say feel free to counter offer, or its negotiable. but i never get a response. i would rather get something than no response, because to me that is the ultimate insult

I hate it when people say "I can get it for cheaper on eBay." Then I'll ask them to prove it....and then they send me a link to my own auction (eventhough it is still cheaper on my online store lol). I do get a kick out of it though.

I agree with you mostly. I think the thing about 13 yr olds is kind of unfair. I mean for every bad 13 yr old trader there is a bad 25 yr old trader. 13 yr olds for the most part(probably 98%) are way past "ewwwww girls". Just thought I'd drop in and give my thoughts.

i used that quote from a buddy of mine here. im just saying, i can tell when some people are to young. they constantly reply to almost every thread of yours asking for the same thing, and offering the same thing you said no to

Most of the young'ns here (I'd say 16 and under), don't know what it means to be 'professional'. Those who do are few and far between, and even then, still need to learn.

I enjoy having relatively proper conversations, as proper as they can be online anyway. You never know when the person you shrug off or ignore will have something you want later on. Plus, being courteous can lead to more generous trades, extras thrown in, etc.

I also become irritated when some members want to trade exact BV for exact BV. I couldn't care less if a trade is off by $5-6 in BV, especially concerning lower-end trades. Then when I respond that I have cards of people they want, they are abrasive and still quote me the $2 difference in BV.

16 and under may be a push. im 15 (16 in 2 months) and i got almost 500 completed trades. but like you said, some are good but not that many. also i dont care about that small of a difference of bv on low end, but some people want to the exact penny to be even.
