have you focused on guys who are known good TTM signers, or are you trying new people? I find that I like to mix it up- I will write to some people who are known to be good, and I will try some new guys as well- that way, I have a pretty good chance of getting returns, and if I get someone that is "new" I can help improve other peoples collections with my info

If that's the case with Taylor, you may want to send again as your request may have gotten lost en route.
As for wait....that's all part of the game we play with TTM collecting.

I agree that when you are in a slump dropping one to a known great and quick TTM guys is the way to go! Not sure what you focus on, but Bobby Doerr is a very fast and reliable HOF autograph!

That's the beauty of this hobby. It's one part science and two parts dumb luck. There's enough information available on this site as well as on others to help your percentages immensely. Look for signing trends. Who signs regularly during ST or during the season? Who never signs c/o home? Who only signs when the season is over? Who requires $ with their requests and who doesn't? These types of trends will help you raise the number of requests.
