pearce has a lot of options

So many players have played for the prestigious hockey program at the University of Notre Dame. For obvious reasons like “The Golden Dome” a storied campus and a great education as well as a top-notch sports program. Jordan Pearce probably took all of those things into account when he decided to attend but right now he is a goalie playing for a team that could win a National Championship and that is good enough for this netminder - -for now.
For two seasons this Anchorage, Alaska native played for the U.S. U-18 team and that program taught him something.
“I think they taught us as 15 and 16-year-old's how to go in there and treat our bodies and treat the game like professionals,” Pearce stated. “Learning how to do that on and off the ice really opened up some doors in college, and juniors and hopefully professionally.”

Oh my goodness...Don's posting about college hockey!
Notre Dame has indeed been an up-and-coming program the last couple of years, enjoying the #1 collegiate ranking for several weeks this season.
Talking about the U.S. 18-and-under team, if you get the opportunity to see any USHL games you should take the opportunity to go. These kids are playing for college scholarships (such as Notre Dame) and for draft positioning -- just check out how highly many USHL grads have been drafted in the NHL, and the impact they've made. Here in Des Moines, we've had Cole, Sejna, Clemmenson, Okposo, just to name a few.

Duff,
I keep up with it quite a bit from reading. It just that most members don't care about it. As many have come out of Michigan as a state as whole. As even some of the little schools had some NHL'ers come thru their programs.
So it all good just have to read about it etc. I would love to do more and hit a roadtrip to the hockey tournament with the 8 teams in Michigan from various colleges. But you don't see anyone wanting to do that LOL.
