I've only played on Party Poker and Poker Stars, neither for real money though...both are pretty good, but I prefer Poker Stars. No definite reason why, just like the feel of it better.

FYI...
It is illegal to play for money deposited from a U.S.-based financial institution. This includes credit cards. I am sure some sites still accept US funds but it is hard to find a financial institution that will wire the money, and you can really get yourself into some serious legal trouble.
See: The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006

A LOT of bad beats. Its almost SICK how many times I have been beat on an almost impossible hand. I quit playing online a year or more ago but I was playing Full Tilt and was pretty easy putting money in or taking it out. The easiest way is going to the gas station and buying a credit card for $50 or $100 and putting it on like that. Some work and some don't so you might have to look into which card you buy.
As for Bad Beats a guy I work with Ruggio won the worlds record bad beat Jackpot of like 1.4 million on Valentine's Day this year. Someone told me and I didn't believe them so I called him and sure enough
He got like 425,000 the other guy got around 245,000 and everyone at the table got 60,000. Not exact figures but all around that. He's been getting 30,000 dollar checks every couple weeks and so far hasn't paid any taxes. Some over seas thing about the taxes I'm not sure.
Anyway good luck but I'm with everyone else save your money for a real casino.
