Is it stupid to get this re-flip?86-87 fleer mj
http://s805.photobucket.com/albums/y...jFleerRC-1.jpg
I'm not sure if this one is considered vintage, but vintage guys have more experience with this sort of thing(I think). Anyhow a lot of seller always advertise their products with lines like "I really think this one deserve a 10." I'm not trying to advertise my product, just looking for some input. The more I look at this card, the more I think I should get it re-flipped: perfect centering, sharp corners and edges, really clean surface. It's graded a 96 by SGC. I think it looks better than a lot of the psa 10. You notice that the case is an old SGC case, which was very strict with grading back in the mid 90. I can provide more scans if you guys want to see.

I guess another question is how difficult is it to crack the case and get it regraded. I'll probably wait and do it at a show instead of mailing it in.

Not sure if its the scan but the bottom right corner is showing white. Right edge by where the bottom blue part is showing white. Left and right seems to be a little off. I think you are better off keeping it as is.

This has nothing to do with you, but I thought I'd chime in.
This is exactly why I hate graded cards. If you can resubmit it and get a different grade, what's the point of grading anything to begin with?? Where's the legitimacy??
It's sorta like the Supreme Court making a law...but it's only a law until a different President gets a majority on the Court and they reverse it.

I know exactly what you mean. It's not a matter of personal preference with some of the graded cards that I do have. I have a feeling that a lot of the vintage cards need to be graded else it will lose value. How much does a raw 86 mj rc cause? No matter how clean it is, a psa10 would cause at least 10-15 times as much.
Anyone else?

There's no white in the bottom right corner, just the scan. However there is a little white on the right edge at the bottom blue part. You can barely see it, but I've seen psa10 fleer mj that looks worse than this

Well that's hard to say. Sometimes they give it to you sometimes they don't. I have a card graded PSA 10 and there is a chunk of the card missing.

I would not risk taking the card out and getting it re-slabbed. There's a clear imperfection and it's graded 'mint' by a well known grading company. Leave it as is.

I wouldn't take it out of the slab--too much risk for what you are hoping for. If you are really wanting to try to get a PSA 10, send it as a "crossover" in slab to PSA. On the invoice you fill out, make sure to identify that you don't want it "crossed over" unless it grades at least a PSA 9, 9.5 or 10. Definitely don't crack it out of the slab. If you want it in a newer SGC slab, you could always submit it to SGC as a reholder.
