SCF's Regular Season Hockey Pool

Another year, another hockey pool, another contest to rack up points for the Quad.

To take part in this contest all you have to do is:
1) Post your user ID when you reply to this thread to help promote SCF on Digg here: http://digg.com/hockey/09_10_SportsC...ar_Season_Pool

2) Make your selections on www.officepoolsgames.com by Oct 3rd, 12pm EST.
3) Complete 5 trades for the duration of this contest. This cannot be the same trades you use to qualify for the other contests!

What can you win?
The top 3 can choose their prize. The prizes are:
1 case of 2008-09 Upper Deck Series 2 (tins, retail)
2008-09 Upper Deck SP Authentic Future Watch Limited Jon Filewich Patch/Auto (018/100)
2008-09 Upper Deck Series 2 Clearcut Rookies Derick Brassard (074/100)

Here are the rules:

The regular season starts on the October 1st, but because this has been a little short notice, the deadline will be October 3rd at 12PM. The pool will automatically close.

Each entrant will have to pick:

10 Forwards
6 Defenseman
2 Goalies

You can make 2 trade per month.

YOU are responsible for selecting your own players. This Pool is different from the past few times we have run it. Do NOT email selections, you have to go to the site, register and make your own player selections.

We will be using this site: www.officepoolsgames.com

When you go on the site, click the "Private Games" tab:

The code for our pool is: cardforum

You will be prompted to register on the site. Afterwards, it's straightforward. You make your player selections.

How does this contest effect the Race for the Quad?
At the end of this contest, the top 8 rank will be awarded points as follows:
1st place - 10 pts
2nd place - 8 pts
...
7th place - 2 pts
8th place - 1 pt

AND

At the end of every month, whoever has accumulated the most points (for the month), will be awarded 1 point. BUT you cannot win 2 times in a row (or more). If this is the case, it will be awarded to the 2nd place.
