TJ Ford demoted to third PG

Pacers point guard T.J. Ford will be the team's third option behind Earl Watson and rookie A.J. Price until he proves to coach Jim O'Brien that he belongs in the rotation.

"It's a matter of playing the people you think give you the best opportunity to win," O'Brien said Saturday.

Such high expectations for Ford, but he's struggled for most of his NBA career.

I hope this was a joke. I don't recall Ford ever getting in trouble with the law. He's no Jamaal Tinsley.

Ah ok. Thought it was a knock on Ford's attitude.

I wouldn't label him a bust but he's been a disappointment. He's played well the past few seasons but something is off this season. 09/10 is his worst year since his rookie season. Pacers want to see what A.J. Price has I imagine.

Yeah, he's had a few good seasons, so I wouldn't call him a bust (yet) either, but he certainly needs to turn his career around sooner rather than later.
