10-11 ITG Between The Pipes

Rate this Entry
So I cracked my first box of BTP today. Boy what a disappointment ! It seems that ITG has taken advantage of selling this product out the last few years by giving us some pretty lame cards this year.

My box yielded the expected amount of inserts, jerseys and autos but to say they weren't the greatest would be an under statement. Detailed list follows at the bottom of this post.

I did get 2 emerald and 1 silver mask cards. The 2 emeralds were basically commons and the silver was a Lundqvist that books at a crappy $15. The 2 jerseys were for the most part commons booking at $12 and $15. I also pulled a Deep In The Crease, 100 Years retro and 2 autos, one of which was a short print.

I really liked the look of the Emerald masks (except for the dumb 1 of 1 error) with their design and colour. The regular game jersey cards show a little better art work then last year but the others seem to lack any imagination.

Overall, not impressed with what I pulled and certainly won't buy another box at the going price of today ($91 and change Canadian with taxes).

Emerald Mask MM-07 Brian Elliot
Emerald Mask MM-04 Antii Niemi
Silver Mask MM-18 Henrik Lundqvist
Golden Goalies GG-29 Mike Richter
Jersey Black M-40 Mark Visentin
Deep In The Crease DC-16 Montreal
100 Years #30 Martin Brodeur
Greats of the Game Auto Tom Barrasso
Future Stars Auto Christian Gibson

Total Book Value $117 with no book value posted on the Brodeur card yet but I'm guessing at $6-$10.
