2010-11 Upper Deck The Cup

Rate this Entry
Well 2010-11 Upper Deck The Cup has hit the markets. This product is probably the most sought after and anticipated hockey item every year despite being released long after the actual season has ended.

The big deal is the so-called 'limited' product allocation. Every year we hear that it is going to be more limited and harder to get This year's release has the same serial-numbered base cards out of 249 so how can it be limited ? The autos/patches are all still numbered the same and there seems to be no end in sight for the so-called limited items.

To me, this is just an artificial way of controlling the market and driving the price up. Allocation is just a way of saying that we are going to distribute to who we want and you are s**t out of luck. While most of us got next to none others seem to be swimming in it so figure that one out

Now lots of people are off, me included, and I have suggested that they contact Upper Deck and tell them that as collector's we aren't that stupid. A boycott of Cup will never happen but at this point it seems to me that Upper Deck is just playing us.

The cards themselves look decent enough but it certainly doesn't take the sour taste out of a lot of peoples mouths.
