    Wow! I know those cards are legends in hobby history, and Kidd is a first ballot HOFer, but...whoa.

    Yeah these cards have really really really shot up in value since they were released. Not many cards can say they are more expensive now than when they were released in the 90s but it seems like of the ones that can they are usually from basketball. All the baseball and football card prices seem to go for a fraction of what they did in the 90s but basketball stuff has taken off. I wished I had basketball versions of Precious Metal Gems instead of baseball and football ones that nobody seems to care about compared with the basketball ones. Because if I did then I'd be rich if I could get these prices.

    I'd normally agree but there were a ton of bidders on this auction. Hard to fake it with so many people willing to bid a high amount for it.

    at one point the bid went from 4k to 9k, that's hard to believe by itself

    i don't care what set it's from, 12k for a card isn't something many people would do especially of J-Kidd. It just doesn't make sense
