Ex-Ridley High ice hockey players on trial in on-ice brawl
NORRISTOWN — Three former Ridley High ice hockey players have placed their fates in the hands of a jury on charges they assaulted players from Central Bucks West during a playoff game at a Hatfield ice rink back in 2017.
“They had an agreement that they would do these things to these players. In this case, the players of CB West were injured to certain degrees,” Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney John N. Gradel argued to a jury as the joint trial for Brock Anderson, Jake Tyler Cross and Ryan Anthony Gricco got under way on Tuesday.

Just from what I read it does sound like more than a hockey fight. Without being in attendance where were the officials? Surely they weren’t that overpowered and if so was there no local law enforcement at the game? Did coaches come off the bench to stop it? Did these 3 really wreck that much havoc that quick before being overpowered?
One of my sons was involed in a on ice fight that 1 never should have happened had the officials done what they needed to do. 2 once it did happen it should have been squashed before it got as out of hand as it did. The guys officiating the game were not much older than the kids playing in it which led to it getting as out of hand as it did. My self and others there feel the same way.
Ill be be the first to say fighting is a part of hockey but sometimes things do get out of hand.

The Heron's Nest: Fallout from the Ridley hockey case
From the moment I heard that charges had been filed in connection with an on-ice fight between a team from Ridley and one from CBWest, I knew it was going to a controversial story.
I wasn't disappointed.
A year and a half later, the verdicts finally came in on Friday.
