Well...about me...my name is Benjamin. Originally from Wisconsin, but currently reside in North Carolina. I medically retired from the Army in 2013 as a SSG after 11 years of service due to wounds sustained by an IED blast. I deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan and did humanitarian aide to Honduras.

Hobbies include everything outdoors, but mainly hiking, climbing, mountaineering, travel, etc...I've completed 5 of the 7 Summits, to include Everest. In May of 2017 I became the third Purple Heart Recipient to reach the summit. I was lucky enough to stay on it for 30 minutes before having to descend. I'm due to finish the final two of the 7 Summits in the next 6 months. I'm actually headed to Antarctica on Christmas day to climb Mt. Vinson and then Denali in June 2019, if I am successful, I will be the first combat wounded veteran to achieve the feat. and then go on to (hopefully) complete reaching the North and South Poles. I've found that nature and the mountains bring me peace and give me life purpose again and it's a great challenge!

I am a volunteer and mentor for a non-profit called American300 and Purple Heart Summits. I've been fortunate enough to talk to our service members all over the globe. It's my connection with the military to this day.

I collect mainly Juuse Saros and other Nashville Predators. I used to be an Alex Rodriguez Super Collector, but I've stopped with that...it has gotten tiring to chase after every single variation and the likes. Plus there are people ruining the hobby with ridiculous price increases on certain things. So I simply gave up. If anyone is in the hunt for a massive collection of A-Rod....I am your guy.
