How do you get your prices?
Hey all,
I was just wondering how most of you get your prices on cards.
Please vote on the post as I'm trying to make some things more convenient around here.
btw - would you all like to see a yearly Beckett subscription of your choice in the store?

Honestly, I wouldn't be interested in the Beckett deal. There's just been so many problems with the company/site that I have had it with them. As far as my pricing - I go to ebay completed listings generally. I really dislike ebay too due to scamming and siding with known scammers, but it is the only way to know the true value and true market value.
Example why:
I often try to trade for Rohan Davey cards and come up empty because many of his cards book $20+ and someone may want way too much in equal BV when it obviously is worth less. Now, if ebay sale value prices were the precident it would be MUCH easier to trade other low end gu/autos. I imagine people who collect guys like David Carr have even more of a problem.

i go to ebay completed listings or current listings as beckett is for old farts, thats how it use to be, im not interested in looking in a print copy for book value that is 30 days behind. i honestly feel that ebay is the "new beckett" and is a fair value of what a card "is really "currently" worth. as a seller of cards i like everyone else wnats to get "what i paid for" for the cards i sell or trade, but friends, those days are long, long over. ebay like it or not is setting the price of what cards are "currently" worth, not beckett anymore.

I was wondering why I'd never heard of BGray...2003, nice! Anyway, it's perfect timing for this thread to be bumped...
How I have got my prices in the past isn't important...what is important is how I'm going to get my prices in the very near future:
The SCF OPG!!!!

I agree - I'm REALLY hoping it's accurate and really appreciate the work being put into it. Ebay completed listings only have so much and don't take everything into account (free/combined shipping, proven sellers etc). Really rooting for this to work and be a price guide to base my trades on!
