    Erik Karlsson

Hey, hockey fans. I don't collect hockey very much. I go through phases. So, I'm not exactly sure who's hot to collect in hockey except for the obvious players. I know Karlsson is a good player, think he made the all-star team this past season. My question....is he a hot player to collect, or are there any Karlsson collectors here? I have a couple rc's of his. I think the better of the 2 that I have is his 'UD Ice auto'd Glacial Graph rc.' I'm thinking about sending it out to get graded b/c it looks pristine to my eye :! Sorry for rambling. Basically, is he a hot player to collect? Thanks for any responses.

I also have 05-06 SP Authentic Thomas Vanek & Wojtek Wolski rc's, both BGS 9.5's. Any thoughts on Vanek or Wolski as cards to hold on to w/ potential?

Karlsson's pretty popular among the Senators fans.

Wolski is pretty much a hobby outcast. Not very much interest at all in him.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I believe he was one of the better rookies last year, but dont know of him player wise.

P.S. I love your signature. Just replace with Lightning Hockey ;)

Thanks for both responses & was very helpful to me! I thought Wolski has/has more potential than he's shown. @ Boltz...lol, thanks. I was definitely rooting for the Bolts! Shoulda beat Boston & it would have been a very interesting series with them & Vancouver. I've been living in the St. Pete area for almost 21 yrs & root for all Tampa teams! I'm just a die hard Rays fan (even though I was born in Toronto.) Gotta root for the city you live in!

I love Vanek, Wolski is a loser and Karlsson is a relatively hot rookie who I feel is underrated hobby wise. Just need Ottawa to start winning.

    Cheers,

Yeah I was pretty upset when we lost, we were 1 goal away. But we had a heck of a season. I root for all Tampa teams and Orlando Teams.

My big PC goal right now is to collect all the Erik Karlsson 10-11 Crown Royale Heir to the Throne cards /250. Currently I have confirmed 22 pieces from that set, so it's slowly getting there, but I have lost out on a few....however I stocked up on Brayden Schenn and John Tavares HTTT cards for trade bait in the future for hopefully multiple Karlsson ones :)

But yeah other than that I have a few of his rookie jersey cards from BAP and some certified ones from this year /100 and /250. There's someone else on the board who is a crazy collector of Karlsson, and there must be market for him as I lost out on 3 Karlsson 09-10 the cup cards, which all closed over $60, even though some had BV about $20 below that.

Since you live in the U.S and shipping back to you from BGS is pretty cheap i think you could get the ice card graded but you would only get your grading money back if he goes on a hot streak.Parallels like Glacial graphs only raise value graded if the name on the card is Crosby or Ovechkin, otherwise you would have to find THE karlsson collector that is ready to pay a premium for a graded copy.

I have a nice Cup rookie of him ending tommorow on the bay.

Karlsson is one of my top 2 PC guys. He sucks (so I won't have as much competition lol)

His +/- was horrible last year but an amazing/fun player to watch
