Countdown Continues: Another Dominion Preview Gallery
http://paniniamerica.wordpress.com/2...minion-hockey/
While the collecting world sits perched on the edge of its seat and biting its nails in continued anticipation of 2010-11 Dominion Hockey, things inside Panini America headquarters are moving at a feverish, ice-melting pace.
In the last two weeks alone, new Hockey Hall of Famers Joe Nieuwendyk and Eddie Belfour have dropped by the office to sign a gorgeous array of gems for Dominion. Meanwhile, Panini America acquisitions guru Alex Carbajal continues to work with players all over the world — literally — to ensure the safe and expeditious return of autographed cards that will most certainly be remembered as some of this season’s best.
The following gallery highlights some of the most recent noteworthy arrivals for 2010-11 Dominion Hockey. Take your sweet time checking them out and I think you’ll come to find, as I have, that gawking at cards this gorgeous never gets old.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

The first Cujo card just makes me drool like no tomorrow. I really wish I had the money to afford these high end sets, but I really do want to pay for tuition and food.

Im really not very impressed with Dominion.
There are too many players I dont want to get in my high end products ..... odd ballish items like Hartford Whalers and Colorado Rockies players are fine in mid range products ... not in your best stuff tho.
Do they really show off 4 Lanny McDonald and 4 Gerry Cheevers autos?
Yuck

Maybe I'm missing something, but honestly - a zillion Lanny sigs, Ray Ferraro, Darryl Reaugh and Jim O'Brien?! Isn't this supposed to be their answer to The Cup? If I got any of those autos out of any product that was more than a buck a pack, I would not be happy at all. Sure, the tape signatures are cool but for the most part, the designs are not taking Panini in any new directions, all the same squared-off blockiness and now that I've seen this new preview and have a better sense of the types of filler I can expect, I can be quite comfortable knowing that I just allocated my questionable Dominion budget to a confirmed, and now larger, Cup budget. These cards are horrid in my view and I can't imagine anyone cracking any and not wondering where their money went. Lots of fun new pieces for PC guys, I'll grant you - but this is NOT a high-end set to give Upper Deck even a moment of pause as to who is the dominant player in the hockey card industry. I've disliked virtually everything Panini has done this year and thought maybe, just maybe, Dominion would turn me around. It didn't, and failed miserably in the attempt.
Sorry to the Panini fans out there, and I know they do have them. This is my opinion only.

Panini's highest end set and they still paralleled the crap out of their inserts.

I'm so sick of parallels from Panini, it's getting a little ridiculous. Between just Luxury Suite, Zenith, and Certified, there were 44 different Clutterbuck cards. 44 across 3 sets, including 9 1/1's...give me a break, enough with the darn parallels
