LAA Angels @ Cleveland Indians: 7/27/11
I've had tickets to this game since the beginning of the season and am glad I finally made it to Cleveland for a game...got there when the gates opened, armed with a stack of cards and some programs. Didn't end up 'graphing postgame because half the parking lot was blocked off and it was packed, so this is just the pregame. Still, pretty happy!
Jack Hannahan 1/1 Program
Vinnie Pestano 1/1 Program (same as Hannahan)
Matt LaPorta 1/1 2011 Topps Card
Chris Perez 1/1 2011 Topps Card (signed for a solid thirty minutes; great guy)
Lonnie Chisenhall 2/1 ROMLB, 2011 Bowman Insert Card
Fausto Carmona 1/1 2011 A&G Card
Travis Hafner 1/1 2011 A&G Card
Nothing huge and not a lot of numbers, but a very solid day. I came with just a card for Chisenhall, but it bubbled...there was a dealer there who was ranting and raving about how he didn't sign the Sweet Spot of his ball, so I bought it from him for $8; definitely worth it to me!
Also, Hafner was a stroke of luck...while the pitchers were warming up, I picked up a warm-up ball laying against the fence and handed it to a little boy standing next to me. The boy's father started telling me how that made his day...and that they were good friends with Hafner. I gave them a couple extra Hafner cards that I had with me since I thought they'd enjoy them. When Pronk came over, he signed for the little boy and wasn't going to sign anymore, but the kid's father asked him to sign for me, too!
Oh, and I saw Ervin Santana throw a no-hitter for the Angels!
Overall, definitely an awesome day. I got some great pics of Kipnis, Bourjos, Trout, Ervin Santana, Chisenhall, and Brantley that I hope to get signed eventually, too...pretty psyched!

WOW! That has to be one of the best days of graphing/sports fandom. Some real good names on your list. The no hitter must have been exciting.
I was lucky enough to be in attendance at Roy Halladay's playoff no hitter and I was on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE time.
On a business note, if your extra Chisenhall is for trade he is one that I would love to add to my collection.

Definitely one of the best sports days of my life...right up there with the "Midge Game" (Yankees/Indians, '07 ALDS), Browns/Packers game last season (had Club Seats), and the Michigan/Ohio State game of '06 (#1 vs. #2). I realized about the fifth inning that the Indians had ended the shutout, but were still being no hit!
As for the Chisenhall, I don't think you'd really be too into the ball. Not a great signature, side-paneled, and the ball has some toning spots. I jumped on it for $8 though, since my card turned out rather poorly.

I'm heading to the Clips on Saturday.
What's the best way to get Talbot, Donald, and Jeanmar Gomez in your opinion, Andy?

I was going to post here, but realized my pointers are a little drawn out so I'm going to shoot you a PM.

Man, that's an awesome day, but it crushed me that, yet again, the offense did absolutely nothing. Sigh... Oh well. That's awesome stuff! Especially the Hafner! I'm going to the game Friday, but I hope I can get half the guys you got! Kind of a sad question considering how many Indians games I've been to but how early did you get there? I always think I get there in plenty of time but nobody's ever signing. So frustrating haha. Congrats again!

It was a noon game, so I got there when the gates opened at eleven...the pitchers were all warming up, and a few signed when they finished (I missed Chad Durbin, not that I cared, and most went into the tunnel under the left field wall to the bullpen). About twenty minutes later, position players started coming out and it was a madhouse.

Dude that is an AMAZING day! Great haul AND you got to witness a no-no. Fan or not, that had to be a cool thing to witness. Congrats!

Thanks! No doubt, it was just an overall great day...I have to say, though, it's a lot more fun 'graphing Minor League Baseball with the Clippers. More fun to be at an Indians game though!
