so i was a little surprised to seee victory include players with the name of the team being put as the atlant thrashers. one would have think that they were printed after the announcment.
even with no name, they could have put winnipeg.

however, that begs the question.
will it be jets on the cup/dominion.

and if not what would be the first product to have cards with winnipeg jets, as opposed to atlanta thrashers on them.(as a name, not neccesarily the jersey.

black diamond, and certified should get them in with jerseys etc. but can dominion and the cup get the players on the card with the winnipeg name, or the winnipeg jets as the team.

i guess i also wonder, how early in advance are cards printed, i mean it cant be that far back, or the cards would be fairly dated.

team name was announced on draft day, victory would wait until free agent frenzy before printing would they not?
wouldnt that mean they would have put winnipeg jets then???

i cant imagine cards being printed that early?

Id be AMAZED if either The Cup or Dominion came out with Jets cards. Realistically, i think it will be next seasons Upper Deck Series 1.

is that because they didnt play as jets for the 10/11 season?

still doesnt explain why 11-12 victory didnt have them


would it have something to do with them not playing a game yet, or what, because all i mean is the name, not jersey, or picture change, just the team name.

Cup and Dominion will call them the Thrashers - since it's a 10-11 product, and they weren't the Jets then, gotta stick with the theme.

As for anything 2011-12, I think it's foolish that they're still in as Atlanta. I understand that the players right now mostly haven't thrown on a jersey for even photo session pics for the cards, but to have Atlanta Thrashers in 11-12 Victory is a joke. I hope that everybody steps it up so that OPC, Series 1, Certified, Score, etc. acknowledge that they are the Winnipeg Jets.

I'd assume that the checklist, the photos, the design, and a lot of the printing of this stuff was done before the sale.

If you want to focus on something silly: 11-12 products hit the market before the last couple of 10-11 ones do.

I would think that anything released after the season starts will at least say Winnipeg on it (maybe have a logo??). They'll get photos to work with, pretty quickly, once pre-season starts.

and we wont be able to see actuall jets pieces for jerseys(except for retired players Hawerchuk...) untill maybe the 2012-2013 card season

Man, remember the photoshoot pictures they used for San Jose, Tampa Bay and Ottawa when they came into the league.
I think the best was 92-93 UD.

Cup and dominion already had cards sent out to players for autos before they came out with the logo and name so i dont think they will
