$2? - I ship with Delivery Confirmation and insurance on all my shipping. I think $2.71 is standard price for US.

Depends how much you trust a) the recipient and b) the postal service.
Most things sent to me by regular airmail are fine. Higher-value cards should ideally be sent registered ($15?) and the most valuable/risky stuff via express ($35?).
Asia is a place that is notorious for shipping - either dishonest people or just so many people that things can go wrong. Your best bet for there is to send via express/EMS so it's fully tracked and requires a signature on delivery. Also just make sure you write the address very clearly - I address all my packages in clear capitals and have never had anything not arrive.

I'm not sure if the US has EMS. I know NZ and Asia has it. It's basically the equivalent of USPS Express International as far as I'm aware.

EMS = USPS Express International mail. its 28.95 base fare and is the ONLY OPTION that provides tracking from shipment to delivery overseas. its also the ONLY WAY paypal can validate a non-delivery claim. registered mail only tracks the package through its departure from customs in the US. once it gets overseas, its out of their hands. also, if you plan on insuring the card, you MUST DECLARE IT FOR THE FULL SELLING PRICE. if the seller asks you to declare it for something like 20 bucks, you will only be able to insure the card for 20 bucks. if its any sort of high end card, pony up the 30 bucks. it's your best option thats not fedex or ups (which cost a hell of a lot more).

I ship to all countries and rarely have an issue. I had two items get hung up for 4-5 weeks but they eventually arrived. One was to Mexico and one was to Australia. Most of my shipment are lower end sales in the $10-$20 range. Anything more than that I make sure to get insurance so you are covered.

EMS stands for Express mail Service, its commonly used by ebay sellers to ship thier item wherever you from....if you want to avoid dishonest buyer's claiming that the item was not delivered, use these kind of shipping process.its just the same with USPS which cost roughly $25 - $40 all around the world..
