The lady at the store filled out the customs forms, but all I told her was it was a card. Definetly didnt tell her any more info on it.

Even if it says Card or sports card you're in trouble. Some like photos would work

I am only covered for $100. The lady at the UPS store said insuring it at a higher cost made it more likely to disappear.

If a company is having to give that kind of warning they should maybe be looking into the cause of it, couldn't imagine how frustrating it would be for both parties.

Seriously... Any carrier that says this I would walk out on and take my business elsewhere.

I think you should take some time and write a letter to UPS explaining everything you've mentioned here. Mail fraud should not be taken lightly.

That's an awful situation. I hope that you guys are able to bring about a positive resolution to the matter. Keep your eyes peeled on eBay for new SP Authentic Subban listings. If it turns up, you've got a case on your hands.

Hmm thats interesting about quebec. I shipped a card to a Newfoundland member and it had to go through quebec. Now my reputation is on the line cause if he doesn't get the cards he said i would geta negative.

    Here's the problem......

When you use a Private Carrier, be it UPS, Fed-EX. Purolator, DHL. or if you use a government backed mail delivery service like USPS........

When all packages including bubble mailers (Not flat envelops) come into Canada, for a period of time, they must leave the hands of the Carrier and must go In-Bond into a Canada Cutoms/Douane Warehouse, until they are cleared and it has been established that the package is not incendiary, unlawful, improper content, or duty owing.....

At this time, the package becomes the property of Canada Customs until it is released back into the hands of the private carrier, or government carrier providing the final delivery service.

Many Hockey Cards are removed at this point of their destination.
