The irony was immense, I snorted my lunch noodles out my nose, almost had to Heimlich myself. Lol

i think they have stopped teaching it, as 3 autos come to mind:
Chris Stewart (Cmon really? at least put SOME effort into it)

Ilya Zubov (has to have the WORST auto I have ever seen)

Luca Caputi (it would be completely rediculous only he puts his jersey # in there to spice it up a bit)

On the other end, Lanny McDonald has one of my favorite autos of all time. Neat, unique, and u can pick out almost every letter in it. Feels more like a legit auto than newer players:

Another positive to cursive writing...it's harder to pick out the spelling mistakes.

Stewarts auto definitely fell off during his RC year, wasnt too bad before then though:

I don't think an autograph is necessarily indicitive of the neatness of a person's handwriting. My handwriting is extremely neat and legible (hybrid of printing and scriptive, like Hederman's) but my signature is very illegible. When your job requires you to sign 40-50 times a day, you learn to shorten it up and write it quickly.
