    Group Break Question

I was in a group break tonight, prior to the break it was asked what were to happen if there was no team logo on the card. We were told that it would be a random between everyone. So the break goes on, and a PK Subban POE is pulled, and what do you know, it gets awarded to the Montreal Canadians, because that is where he plays. Clearly contradicting what he said at the beginining of the break. Now I realise that in most breaks that is what would have happened, but in this case, it was asked, he answered and then went dead against it. When challenged at the end of the break on this, he got pretty ™™™™™™ off. I just want to know what everyones thoughts on this are. Thanks

    He should have randomized it.

Out of curiosity, did the host happen to have the Canadiens?

According to what was said prior to the break, it should have been random.

Who had the Canadiens? The host or maybe one of his good friends?

    What GB was this?

Just an update, after exchanging emails, the breaker has decided to poll the other 29 people to see what their take is. If a majority decide it should be randomized, then it will be. That is as fair an answer as I could have hoped for. All of this being said, I am looking forward to Kevins breaks again. I havent had a chance to join any of Dons, but I will as soon as I see one. The only reason I reached out on this one, is cause I wanted to break some CUP. I landed Phoenix lol, but did manage to pull a 4clr Ekman Larsen and a MacLean Printing plate 1/1. (and potentially a Subban lol) So I did about as well as I could have hoped having the Yotes as my team.

Technically, the name of the team the "Montreal Canadiens" is also a team logo.

That's why they have that little copyright symbol next to the "Canadiens" that looks like a dot in the scan.

It may not be the icon logo, but it is still a logo.

A logo is a graphic mark or emblem commonly used by commercial enterprises, organizations and even individuals to aid and promote instant public recognition. Logos are either purely graphic (symbols/icons) or are composed of the name of the organization (a logotype or wordmark).

Its also why ITG doesn't have any iconic logos OR team names on the front of the cards. Both of them are logos that need to have licensed paid.

Sorry, you don't have a leg to stand on. Subban goes to the person who had the Canadiens.

    Cheers,
    reoddai
