looks like this is the guy. I had a couple people look at it, and we all think its the same card # Hope the OP gets it back or to the person he traded it to. Looks like they closed it out this morning. Maybe they saw this thread?

Tons of people probably chirped him on ebay for stealing cards. He is NEVER going to be able to sell that thing on ebay or any major card forums, so he is either going to sell it privately or wait so long with it that the authorities finally do something and he gets caught. Hopefully the latter.

As was mentioned above, the concern expressed in this thread and others like it is not directed at the many valuable SCF members that call Quebec home. I have dealt with some of the best people in the entire hobby that hail from that province, and their names are absolutely not lumped in with the people that are stealing cards from others. Unfortunately there does seem to be a network of people who work in the postal system that seem hellbent on ruining the reputation of everybody that comes from Quebec. It is all the more unfortunate because often times it is the cards of Montreal Canadiens players that are stolen.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

But it is essential that we have a forum like this to bring to surface the people who are responsible for stealing these cards. As in this case it has been determined that the carrier was the thief and not the buyer. We cannot just blame all people livbing in onw area unless we find the people responsible. I think every SCF member doing their bit in investigating and finding this item on ebay and rallying together will give a lot of people second thoughts about selling when he knows members are scanning the sites for stolrn cards. I think it would be nice to have a link to a list of all cards stolen so we can watch for them.

I actually messaged back and forth with this guy selling the card. He told me he saw it at a pawn shop, then put it on ebay before buying it. When he saw how high it got he went back to buy it and it was gone so he cancelled it. I told him it was stolen and he gave me the pawn shop story. Of course I dont believe it but I would love to be able to keep him from selling it. That being said I have a feeling it will disappear at the card show in Montreal tomorrow.

I have been to many pawn shops in many different states and have never seen 1 sport card for sale in a pawn shop. not sure how they work in canada, but pawn shops normally dont take in things that can decrease in value like cards do, but just because i have never seen it, doesnt mean they dont buy and sell them
