Figured I'd start a team thread to keep everyone updated and what not. Feel free to post any news, information, or topics in here regarding the Wings.
Homerism is 100% allowed, and encouraged (only counts for the Wings though lol).

Wings opener is Friday...looking forward to the season big time. Season tickets make it a little bit sweeter.

Very nice now I'm jealous. I had season tickets for the last 2 years but had to give them up since I started college.
Should be a good year for the wings.

I feel you. Currently in college right now and the Joe is about an hour and a half away so it's brutal. Luckily for me, my parents took over my seats so I don't have to incur the same expense I used to. Still have to pay, but I get to basically pick and choose what games I want to go to.

Detroit wins there season opener 5-3 over the Ottawa Senators!
Can't say I'm too happy with the win as we gave them back 3 goals at the end. Also, wasn't impressed with the way we started as well as Howard.

I thought Detroit looked REALLY good. I know there were 3 garbage goals at the end, but for the majority of the game Ottawa didn't even look in the same league as the Red Wings.

Anyone know what the extra patch on their left sleeve above the arm number was for? Looked to be initials and a date, memorial?

BM-RS-SL. Is the patch, it was to honor Brad mcCrimmon and those killed in the KHL plane crash. The jerseys will be sold to raise money, but they haven't said how yet.

They looked good...at times. Last year they were horrible in the 1st period at home...that continued with the Ottawa game. Even though they went up 1-0 in the first, they didn't look good at all or control the play.
Just one area to improve on. Obviously I'm thrilled to be 1-0 right now.
