Let's goooooo!! 1 hour til' game time.
My keys for success for the Blues this season:
1. Consistent play from Halak
2. Defense: Petro was impressive last year he needs to keep it up. I think defense may end up being a problem because the Blues don't really have a true shutdown defenseman (Polak or Jackman?)
3. Strong seasons from Stewart and Oshie
and of course fewer injuries than last year. Also, hopefully Perron will be in the lineup sometime this season.

...And the season starts with a loss. Demoralizing goal less than a minute after the Blues tied it up. Halak did not play well in my opinion while Rinne played great.

I'm a big Bishop and Allen tandem. Can't wait for one or both to play in the NHL.

Bishop had a shot to be Halak's backup but lost the job to Elliott in camp. Jake Allen had a good preseason game. I'd love to see an Allen/Bishop tandem in the future but I think Bishop may be gone after this season. The Blues are going to eventually need to move a goalie and it looks like Bishop may be the odd man out.

1st win of the season! 5 to 2 Blues!
Didn't really get to see much of the game...I hate day games. Columbus Day is one of the dumbest "holidays" America has to offer.

I'm hoping Ryan Reaves racks up the PIMS for my fantasy team :)

He will until Crombeen is back...after that he'll see a fairly significant reduction in ice time.

He's only averaging about 4:31 in ice time as it is, but he'll still put up PIMS. He also put up 4 points in 28 games last year with 78 PIMS. Crombeen only put up 14 in 80 games with 154 PIMS. Reaves is also a little better defensively I believe. He might earn his playing time while Crombeen is out
