    Crosby cleared for contact

Wearing the black helmet in practice today. He may as well have just given the finger to Jeremy Roenick. Bylsma should have him take the ice for pre-game warmups against the Caps tonight. Pretty sure the world would explode.

I'm with Roenick on this one, partially, though. I don't want Crosby to rush back onto the ice just because. However I am sick of the media constantly asking him if anything is new and he saying nothing is new. He'll TELL you when something is new so quit asking.

But Roenick's beef was with CROSBY, not the media.

Roenicks beef was with constantly seeing Crosby on TV answering the same questions, saying "nothing is new". He even said "Don't interview him"

To me, it depends on how you look at it. The fact is that it didn't need to be said at all, which is why I take it as maybe a jab towards both. He also told him to "get out there".

I'm biased though, always been a Crosby fan, never been a Roenick fan.

True and I don't agree with the part of him telling him to "Get out there" and i'm not a Crosby fan at all

Crosby takes the time to answer the questions which some players dont even do. Me as a pens fan want a daily update on sid even if its the same because he is our star player and im sure other people do. But back to roenick he doesnt need to make a comment like that. he acts like crosby goes out and writes the article or does a video of himself and posts it all over the media. if he did that then roenicks comments are acceptable but he doesnt and needs to keep his mouth shut.

I dont hear crosby talk about ex star nhl players why talk about about the nhl star now?

Because Roenick is now apart of the "media" and thus he can talk about the star if he so chooses. He has every right to talk about as anyone else does. The part I have no problem with is the part where he simple says "it's the same thing every day, nothing has changed, nothing has changed". I understand you wanting to know how Crosby is doing as he is your star player, but if there is nothing new to report then what is the point? There's no difference in finding out nothing is new or not finding out anything at all.
