    Sending first....

Okay I've posted a few for trade/ For sale threads on here and just been weirded out by some of the traders request to send them my cards first.

Okay I understand that if we're trading and your trader rating is higher than mine. I'll send first. But if my trader rating is higher than yours, you should prolly send first.

And the other is if I'm selling you a card, why would I ship the card out without payment from paypal? I understand your trader rating is high but to send a card out first is kinda like sending money as a gift.

Which brings me to my next point, why send money as a gift? I mean paypal takes like 2%. If I'm buying something for $300, I'd rather spend the extra $6 not to send as a gift.

Is it just me or has anyone else ran into these people?

first let me say, who the hell is that hottie in your avatar? nice pose. lol!

and ebay/paypal sucks because all they do is hit you with all types of B.S. fees making your profit margin pretty slim. listing fees, final sale fees, and fees when you receive a payment. its like getting kicked in the balls 3 times. lol!

Well sending first if you have under 20 rating is a SCF rule.

Never send GIFT. Especially $300. They were starting to shut down accounts for sending/receiving to many gift payments, plus you are not even protected by paypal if something goes wrong if sending gift.

So if your buying, just ask the seller to add the paypal fees in account with the total so he will net what he wouldve if you sent gift. and theres paypal and ebay fee calulators out there I have links if you need them.

everyone had to send first at scf at one point its the rules if you dont want to follow them dont trade..as for buying never send as a gift especially if your a rookie and have to send first..and 1 feedback or 19 feedback it doesnt matter your still new to trading according to the rules and must send first or same time if with another rookie,,its the rules if you want to protect yourself then dont trade with rookies until your at 20 deals..i did it that way only traded with high feedback traders until i reached 20...

Yeah I think if both of your ratings are under 20, you are not obligated to send first and you both should send at the same time.

But as someone who has traded on here a while, I would expect someone with under 20 feedback to send first. However, in a buying and selling situation, as long as the <20 feedback seller doesn't request paypal gift, it's not a huge deal since you're covered by paypal. But even if you're covered it's might not worth the hassle to sit through claim process to get your money back from a shady low feedback seller, especially if it's $100+.

No chance I'd send payment to someone on here without them sending first if they are still a MSF member - I don't care if it's a "sale" or trade - I went through the 20 feedback just like everyone else. If that doesn't work I have no problem moving on from the purchase.
