Great job taking the initiative to quit. You are not only helping yourself but helping others you interact with, as well.
Plus, think of all that money you are saving.

Hey good luck!
My mom started smoking at a young age and was finally able to give it up when she was pregnant with me (she was on and off for a few years after that).
She decided that she would give both my brother & I $1,000 on our 18th birthdays if we did not smoke a cigarette before then (knowing how early smokers start, in general) -- we both got the $1,000 and neither of us smoke cigarettes.

Never been a smoker (only thing I ever smoke are cigars, and that's about once every other year). Wish you the best!

I've never smoked either, but congrats and starting the process of giving it up. Both of my brothers smoked and have sense stopped. My grandfather smoked and died of lung cancer when he was in his 70's. I have no clue what you are dealing with, but if you do happen to fall off the wagon make sure you get right back on. slipping up a few times doesn't mean you still aren't making progress.

I'm 24 and have been a pack a day smoker since I was 17. It's a nasty habit and tried to quit a few times, but failed (I guess because honestly I don't want to quit), the nicotine withdrawls kicked my ™™™.
One of the big things was the price, $8 a pack a day was too much.. so I actually found a cheap alternative.. Cheyenne Menthol 100s.. $2 a pack here no tax from the place I buy them from.

I've tried quitting a couple of times (27y.o. been smoking 9 years) but, like JB above, I honestly can't say I really want to quit, yet.
With that said, it sounds like you're going through the normal stages. I went almost a week once and I was just about ready to go on a murder/suicide rampage.
Kind of makes you wonder why you started in the first place if it can have that effect on you.
