Went to the PECO energy thing in South Philly this afternoon. Pretty colossal letdown. The guest list was to be Celek, Troy Vincent, Mike Quick and Merrill Reese. Well, Celek, Vincent and Reese decided to no-show. So it was just Quick and Harold Carmichael. I didn't need either of them but I got them anyway. Quick signed his printed photo and one of mine, which he inscribed 5x pro bowl.
Harold Carmichael, as usual, was a grade A ™™™™™™bag. He had a stack of photos that were computer-paper printed and he had pre-signed them all. He wouldn't sign anything for anyone, and when he handed me a photo I asked him to write 1970s all decade team he effectively told me to go screw myself.
On a brighter note, my mom is doing a pancreatic cancer fundraiser next weekend, so my fiance mentioned it to mike quick and asked if he could donate something to the silent auction. At the home depot event they were raffling off signed footballs and Quick said that he would do us one better and just give us one of the footballs. So now we have a great item for my mom's charity raffle.

i'm pretty sure i'll be at this. are you going?
i wanna start a full size helmet from the 1960 team...or what's left of them at least.
when i got mcdonald at the oaks show in april he was probably the nicest, most humble athlete i've ever met. of course this meant that i waited 60 mins in a line that was only 15 people deep cause he spent several minutes talking to each fan. a few people have told me they heard he wasn't nice, certainly wasn't the case that day.
