I've tried quitting a couple of times (27y.o. been smoking 9 years) but, like JB above, I honestly can't say I really want to quit, yet.
With that said, it sounds like you're going through the normal stages. I went almost a week once and I was just about ready to go on a murder/suicide rampage.
Kind of makes you wonder why you started in the first place if it can have that effect on you.

I started because I wanted to be one of the cool kids. Everyday we would hang out and most of the guys smoked.. there was a shady gas station who would sell us cigarettes across the street and that's how I got hooked.

Yeah, I was hanging around a lot of smokers and, well, when in Rome...

One of the dumber things I've ever done. I do enjoy it (I really do) but when one puts even the slightest thought into it, it's completely moronic.

I also grew up in a house where both of my parents smoked.. and most of the adults in my family smoked.. so I guess that was also an influence.

Only one grandmother smoked in my family (she has recently successfully quit). People constantly assume my parents are/were smokers because I smoke. They weren't, but I still do.

Its easy to quit if you really want to, People fail because they lack the willingness to stop. I haven't smoked in years I just chose life over looking like an idiot poisoning myself and smelling like garbage.

I was never into smoking cigarettes but I know it can real hard to stop once you start. Good luck with quitting.

So Jack, how is it going?

I had a 3 pack a day habit for years. I was harcore, I smoked Camels LOL. I went hunting one day and couldn't climb a mountain that I used to practically sprint up. That was it. I quit cold turkey that day. Never touched them again.

My hat is off to you. Let us know how you are doing.

What about this- Use the money you usually spent on cigarettes on packs of cards! Cards don't kill you, plus they last longer! And they're more exciting.
