Love the subtle differences. As they say, don't fix what ain't broke!

Seems like I will have my work cut out collecting the /25 set unfortunately. I thought getting all 12 was hard last year.

    Thanks for sharing!

Similar - not exactly the same.

They scanned new vintage spoon handles! Yah!

I guess if you are into over the top design these cards are for you. Won't once again be picking any up.

I agree why fix something that ain't broken?

And in any case, I don't know of very many sets who get a near-complete redesign every year aside from maybe SPx.

Flagship products need to remain flagship products. Look at UD S1, Black Diamond, SPA or even The Cup and try to show us that their designs have changed drastically over the past 5 years.

If the product sells and complaints are few, then why reinvent it? That's just counter productive.

Please keep the same numbering on the Silhouettes as last years hockey.

Crown Royale Football just released this week and the numbering makes absolutely no sense. I have seen them numbered to 50, 199, 299, 10 with no differences between the patches.

IMO, these shoulnd't be overprinted. I liked the fact that they were case hits and not hitting 4 in a case like football.

    example:

    3 colors numbered to /50

    2 colors numbered to /299

Wow sweet looks like an awesome silhouette set, really like the idea of expanding the set, so collectors have a chance of at least owning 1 or 2.

I like everything but the base card design. I think the 2011 and 2012 seems HUGE to me. Really no need for it to be there. Other than that I think it looks great.

i agree, base is kind of ugly.

    UNIMPRESSED.

Cards are WAY too similar to last years.

    .................................................. ........................

Last year's Base card design, and stick-on autographs were a horrid embarrassment. If they want to deliver Crown Royale the way Pacific did, then and only then would I buy.

Anyone notice the fact that Panini mentioned there will be 20 players featured with Sillhouettes this year? I didnt think this years crop was going to be that good. So probably will be a lot of cheaper players to chase. Seems like a big jump especially since last year they had how many? And yet still missed some good rookies from the Sillhouetter list

All RC's and Scratching the Surface were on-card auto's.

And as for Pacific, I'll commend their fantastic design, but cards without an autograph or some piece of cloth on them have fallen out of fashion. To deliver CR just like Pacific did would send that set from one of the most anxiously awaited to just another parallel hell.

Not always a bad thing, gives alot for players collectors to chase to complete rainbows. Every set has the same basis, jerseys in every box that are useless, bunch of no named autos that sell between 1 - 5$, so to be honest I wouldnt mind seeing a set come out like original pacific crown royale. They still has some patches and whatnot that were hard to track down, but alot to look for in every box as well!
