Upper deck needs their license back
Just needed to say that I'm not sure what happened but real quality beautiful cards are being hindered either from panini looking a little cheap and mass produced and Upper Deck not having the NBA license. I love what Upper Deck does but I'm not interested in college cards. I really hope Upper deck gets their license back eventually until then, I'll be buying older UD cards!

Yeah but UD is somehow managing people to buy college and high school licensed products of relatively random players. As long as they have the possibility of landing a Jordan or lebron auto they can sell products.

We need another rookie class like 2003. Those were great times. Loads of interesting products, and UD was responsible for 75% of them.

Bingo. 09-10 was crap until Blake blew up. Design then took a back seat to turning profits. Box prices didn't skyrocket because the demand wasn't there.
But if they should return soon, I wonder how much crap UD will get when (not if) they churn out sticker based products. It'll be interesting to watch.

most of the collectors around me have shunned panini in favor of buying singles on ebay or if we have itchy fingers, investing in older boxes for the fun of it. of course all 3 LCS around me are suffering bc since they rely mostly on basketball to pay rent, and with no new stuff out, they are resorting to trying to find older stuff or selling more pokemon, magic or marvel to the younger crowds....they even have NT bball on 15% just to rid of stock...
panini fail all the way

first of all panini sucks. only thing i bought was some singles which i cut to make logoman customs.
second topps should get their license back also. i miss the CHROME stuff!
and last NBA owners and players should just agree to something so we can get some games on tv. sucks to see that everytime they have an 8hr + meeting. nothing new can be agreed upon.
