What did you think of Elliott and Grachev's game last night? I think they both played great.

Elliott has been impressive in his starts so far. Should be interesting to see who starts the next game.

There will be a whole lot of "Jaro Who" in the future. I don't hate the guy, but I know my goalies and he just doesn't do it for me.
Unlike the thousands of fans who went gaga over him during his magical playoff run, I said to myself that no goalie who gives that many rebounds directly to the key slot points will be around long.
The Blues would be well off to play him, get his stock up and move him.
Allen and Bishop are the future. Well at least one of them.
On Grachev, I am watching him closely too. He was impressive int he preseason. Maybe just needs more ice time.

^Agreed. Halak just seems slow out there...his lateral movement could use some work. This season he has allowed weak goals at very inopportune times which really killed the team's momentum. And as you mentioned, his rebound control is poor. Probably among the worst in the NHL in my opinion. Montreal definitely knew what they were doing when they stuck with Price instead of Halak.

hmm, I was never a fan of him.
I have three Blues on my hockey pool team. May not be a good thing for fantasy players.

Surely Hitchcock is improvement over Payne. This team needs a shakeup hopefully this will provide a spark.

I thought there would be a coach fired this weekend in STL...I just figured it would be the Ram's specail teams coach, not Payne! but I understand and agree with the decision - but the jury is out on Hitchcock. I've never been his biggest fan.
We'll just have to wait and see. My Dad commented to me today that the Blues change coaches more than he changes his underwear...gosh, I hope that's not true Pops! I'll get you some new ones for xmas lol!

Maybe the Cardinals will find a replacement for La Russa this week too...
Sure, maybe Hitchcock isn't ideal, but was there really a much better option out there?

Rumor: Blues have traded Nikita Nikitin for Kris Russell from the Blue Jackets. I don't know much about Russell. Thoughts on this trade? Nikitin has not been playing very well this year.
