Regular jersey cards??
What do you guys feel about regular jersey cards, maybe even patch cards?? I always wanted to be a one player collector, but feel spending cash on ebay with shipping for these would get pretty out of hand.
My main question is, well we all have seen the pics/videos of companies getting the jerseys, weve all seen the puck marks and tape marks and so on. But for regular jersey cards, maybe even some patches, do you think it happens where the company may run out of a Datsyuk cut jersey, and fill the other 30 they were missing from a leftover Lidstrom cut??
Thoughts? This is why I like auto cards that much better, but patches and some rainbows always look great!

I don't think they would do that, though how would anyone ever know.
It seems they hoard jerseys to the point of getting a patch/jersey from the team a player was on 3, 4, 5 years ago.

I think UD is STILL sitting on some Joe Thornton Bruins pieces (or may have just recently finished using them up) so, yea, they've got more than they know what to do with.

If they have so many extra jerseys they should have redemptions for the actual jersey. Upper Deck did it in baseball a while back and I landed some nice stuff out of it.

Didn't Pacific or Topps try that in hockey about 10-12 years ago?

HAHAHAHA don't you know UD will NEVER be out of Joe Thornton Boston jerseys.....
I'm convinced there is footage somewhere during a game with JT on the bench and McWilliam fervently giving him jersey after jersey to put on then take off.

If they were to do this, they would be sued for fraud and would absolutely kill their brand recognition. I'm sure that the NHL and the NHLPA would not be the least bit amused.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I can only imagine the whining that would ensue when someone found an all white jersey piece in them...
