How come some collectors refuse to consider trading any IN THE GAME hockey products? Every company has some cards that well die for and some we'd rather puke in. But how can one not even look at a card to see if one likes it. I don't get it.

The hobby has always been full of "major company" collecting snobs. Lots of them, when they mature in the hobby, look back in regret that they let cards such as ITG produces slip away from them when the go looking in later years and find the supply has dried up.
Loads of people turned their noses up at what Pacific was producing in the mid-late 90s, and now those are some of the most sought after sets in the hobby. I guess it's just a matter of perspective and personal preferences. Some people just won't touch anything that doesn't say "Topps" or "Upper Deck" on the front.

Same thing with Just Minors and Tristar in baseball. You can't get $5 for a Jay Bruce 2005 Just Minors Glossy Auto 1/1.

The same can be said for a lot of minor league cards of players also...

I don't know if it is the same in hockey but in baseball ITG doesn't have a license so they air brush all the cards and many people do not like that. It was acceptable in the 1980s when you had so few card sets that people would want others but with so many cards produced now do you need a guy in a blank hat as well?

I wish that was the case with Just Minors. I've paid a ton for PC cards. Same with Tristar.Andrew Bailey Supercollector: 233/263 not including 1/1's (88.6%); 265/466 cards including 1/1's(56.9%)
