    Michael Jordan Atomic Refractor Rarity

Hey everyone! I am primarily a football card guy but everyone knows the name Michael Jordan. I have a guy I work with that has a 1996 Topps Stars Finest Atomic Refractors (Golden Season) #74 of Michael Jordan. Card looks mint, and POP reports on Beckett show only shows 5 to have been graded through them, with the highest 4 being 9.0's. The card appears to be very rare and if (probably more WHEN) he gets it graded he will be selling it to help pay for medical bills he has for his now paralyzed son. Neither of us were real sure at just how rare it was. Any information anyone has is appreciated.

That's crazy. I have seem some listings that have eneded recently of buyers asking for 2k on a similar card, but there are 3 or 4 others out there with the same grade. I think he will do pretty well on it then, assuming it comes back with a good grade.

Depends on the buyer. Recent sales have indicated a millionaire buying up these cards.

Any reason why? People just raking in the Jordan cards for collections or investments or what?

simply because they got too much stash to burn. As for investment? don't think so. These cards are only hyped up.

I wouldn't think investments either, he doesn't play anymore. Wish I had money to burn like that!
