    Confused need opinions

Bought a Johnny Bower dominion stickside signature on ebay on december 18th for a great price. The listing sucked,no clear shipping price or ebayer policies listed. I figured that this worked to my advantage, as many collectors would ignore or not find this listing. Anyways I won the card and messaged the seller with this. The ebayer iam dealing with has 2 feedback from a year ago as a buyer. Nothing as a seller.

    Dear EBAYER
Hi, are you able to invoice me for this item, iam not sure the rate of shipping so I was wondering if you could send the invoice which I will then pay.
    Thanks in advance

    The ebayer responded quickly...

    Dear blanksta08,

I'm trying to get the best rate when i go to canada post site they are like $12 to send there i don't see how thats right
let me check in the morning at the post office , pick up was and option to if you wanted to drive the two hours

I figured that this was maybe some beginners confusion so I tried to enlighten...

    Dear EBAYER

Yeah that sounds high to me, for regular post it is around 3.50-4.00, (7-10 day deliver) and that usually should cover cost of bubble mailer and top loader/magnetic case. the actuall shipping should be around 1.50 for the stamp maybe 2 dollars tops. I figure the option canada post is giving you is tracking and express post, (1-2 day deliver). But check at your post office tomorrow and get back to me and then ill send the money. Thanks for the quick response

    Everything seems normal still,
he messages me later and says ok its 5 dollars for shipping which I knew was a little steep but for the price I got the card at it still wasnt a problem as I had seen them go for double.

He then messages me with this...

sorry buddy i got everything ready to go and ebay screwed me over so the
best i can tell you is ask for a refund , They didn't help me by putting
the money in the wrong acc. then telling me it's my fault so i won't be able to ship with tracking sorry

Iam figuring he had second thoughts on the price, but he issued me a refund. And in the previous email he gave me his email, and told me to email him in a few days to set up a deal when he figured out his paypal issues.

SOOOOO I emailed him and he said he got his account up and running, but iam kind of concerned about doing a deal in which I may have no recourse, on scf there are mods, ebay there are people who can help etc. If the money is sent paypal am I covered?

After that long read lol iam looking for opinions should I do the deal and take my chances, or just pass and wait for another one but likely pay double.

As long as you dont send as a gift you are covered. Also, put in the message box exactly what the payment is for. I.E.

Payment for purchase of 10-11 Panini Dominion Bower Signatures.

Also, mark the payment as "goods". If you dont recieve the card you will be covered if the seller has no tracking information.

Have him cancel the old one, and have him realist it at 5000$Or best offer
Send him the same amount and have him accept that amount, then pay him and have it sent through eBay protection and feedback.

    Just another idea

Seller's remorse. Too bad, you were pretty jazzed about that one when you told me about it. Hopefully you can get it sorted out but I'm having a hard time buying the guy's story.
