    ugly card

is it just me or is this one of the ugliest cards you've ever seen?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/RYAN-NUGENT-...#ht_500wt_1413

i think the sticker auto makes it that much more ugly, just point blank in the middle of the card, and the card itself without the auto isn't appealing to me at all.

cool that it's an RNH auto and short printed and def should go for good money but it's just ugly to me.

They look nicer in person. Scans do no justice to the NUFEX cards

Also not a fan of the big white sticker spot in the middle of the card. The nufex does look great in-person but that just ain't pretty. See also the Crown Royale rookie autos (not the Silhouettes, those are still beautiful) and they have a similar big white (on-card) signing area that just looks...unpretty.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I actually like the white area because it makes the auto stand out visibly
I can't stand cards where the auto blends in

Though the best is white card already like sp authentic and the cup because it is visible without the white spot

Dominion ruby autos have it to,

are you talking about the crown royale rookie royalties? if so, really you don't like those? i think those are sweet designs and those are on card auto's. maybe you're thinking about a different card or just confused

    These ones:

The space is just too large, particularly given the tiny pathetic scrawls that most players of today call an autograph. Last year's they had a smaller white area and did a good job of "blending" it into the card. This...is just a big white spot. And the only time I like White Spot is when I'm in Kelowna eating a B.C. Burger with extra Triple O sauce.

YOU DO NOT MESS WITH NUFEX. Why, WHY, do manufacturers think adding an auto to every card is appealing?

And don't say it's because that's what the collectors asked for. That's total BS.

I do like breaking the news in such fashion. LOL

They were some of the nicest regular auto RC's last year but this year they just increased the blank spot a quarter-inch too much. There's ways to incorporate autos on a coloured background without it blending too much that the auto isn't very viewable, be it a different colour ink (I personally LOVE silver/gold paint pen) or just making sure to use auto-friendly photographs.
