unfortunately that does not fall under their guidelines of a super collector though. I'm the same, I guarantee no one has a better Donald Brashear collection than mine. Not only do I collect all of his jersey cards but I've gotten his jersey cards with every different color jersey variation but it seems like its super collecting based more on quantity than quality

but is it possible to be a super collector say if you only have 20% of a players overall card total in your collection but 90% of the collection is memorabilia cards? Could they have all of a players best cards but be denied because they don't have stuff like 94/95 Ultra base card or 99/00 Paramount base and all the parallels in their collection? Could it be possible for someone to have by far the best collection of a common player than anyone else but still not considered a super collector of that player?

I'm just saying this merely just to get verification on how someone could be approved.

IMO, you need to have the quantity but the quality needs to match the quantity and all the supercollectors I've seen here have insane collections. Just look at some of the collections in the Hall of Fame and youll get a good idea of what you need to do.

The criteria is very fair and done with percentages of a players cards. Took them a while to come up with the criteria because it's not easy deciding who to give the badges to. Go look at the super collector hall of fame and u will see why they got the badge

    It's opinionated
On this board the requirements for achieving a little sticky beside your name are such

For me it's up to you the collector yourself
If you have 200 1/1s of a player, but have 0 of his 2000 base cards, id say you qualify
Others may say 2000 base cards qualify

Collect what you want, don't shoot for a badge that says super collector
    (well that's my opinion anyway)

I have a mini burmistrov pc, and only want on card autos
If a badge required me to buy 50 jersey cards, what would be the point of me doing that?

If you have everything you want of that player, or a lot of big items, or cards you know nobody else and you know you have the biggest collection, you are a supercollector to you, it don't matter what others say, if you fit the bill, or have a badge.

Anyway thats just my three and a half pennies

We review every application on a case-by-case basis. We do expect members to reach certain plateaus in their overall numbers, and have a good, well-rounded collection. I wrote an article a few months back that details pretty well what I consider to be a Super Collector (formal and informal):

    https://www.sportscardforum.com/artic...r-collector-2/

That pretty much lays out my approach looking at some of the monstrous collections that are out there. You will note that I do not have a badge under my profile. I have, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best Josh Gorges collection in the world. I also have what I consider to be a pretty sweet Carey Price collection that is rapidly approaching 600 cards. Not a Super Collector. Gorges doesn't have enough cards made and Price has too many.

Does the absence of a badge diminish my collection in any way? Absolutely not. Does the absence of a badge diminish your fantastic Brashear memorabilia card collection? Absolutely not. If someone pulls a Brashear jersey card, they know who to call.
