I got, I believe, two of my 23 returns back from my first ST last year...all well known signers. Probably won't be doing that again.

Sorry to hear that! I loved my ST from last season. I added Big Mac, Vlad, Trammel, Luis Gonzalez, Josh Hamilton and many others! Do not laugh, but should you wait two or three weeks in you can get an idea of who is signing and give those who are a shot. I usually do two mailings each spring. I drop a good hundred or so to start. I then take another twenty or so of the early returners that I want in early March.

Also sent to McGwire, Guerrero, and Koji Uehara later (off the top of my head) and only got back Koji. Mostly good signers in the past (or at least decent or even hit/miss) and I just got Sizemore, Bailey, and Uehara. I also sent another stack I didn't write down...not doing this again.
