Dominion Box?
Question 1: How much do they go for these days?
Question 2: Is it still worth it to go for a box?
Of course it's been out for some time now, prices always go down on cards once they've been out and attention goes somewhere else, but i seriously think dominion is arguably the nicest product ever. The patches are amazing, all low numbered cards, you get some nice hits in every box.
downsides are getting a /199 auto rc of a low end player like cody almond for example and it sells for like $10 maybe.
Do they almost always put one really nice hit in where you get good value on that one card?
Well basically what do you guys think, is it worth still getting a box??
never know I could get lucky (not that i ever am) and pull a nice /99 arp or hall, eberle, skinner, seguin etc. something with a sick patch!

Depends on WHY you're busting. Dominion has atrocious resale value, so if you're busting to flip, I'd do something else. If, on the other hand, you're just looking for some fun, sure go for it. Dominion does have some great looking cards.

well yeah, it would be mainly to flip, maybe hit a couple nice cards and have some fun. but certainly don't wanna lose a bunch of money. i found someone local who would sell a box for $300, that's a good price isn't it??
i know the odds of hitting a hall, seguin etc are very very slim, but maybe i'll get a couple other nice hits.
i realize a white jsy card of joe thornton will sell for $2 which stinks but there are usually one or two really nice cards per box.
it's a risk but could be fun. not sure, maybe i should just spend that money on a nice rookie card that i know will be well invested.

To me Dominion is a big gamble. Since you are busting to flip, I'd stay away, even the RCs /99 don't do great on the secondary market (compared to The Cup). I guess it also depends on your finances too. If $300 is not that big a deal to you, then sure, take the risk, but if it's your box busting budget for a few months go with a few boxes of something with better return like, Artifacts or Black diamond.

Exactly what I would have done, take the 300$ and put it towards three solid 100$ boxes for sure like Artifacts, BD, SPA, etc.
