Ebayer to block jetexpress21
Ebayer to block:
jetexpress21
I guess out of 50 some odd ebay sales over the holidays, this thread was inevitable. What I do not understand is the fact that I have dealt with jetexpress21 from Toronto, Ontario multiple times over the years and it makes no logical or rational sense to me. is the ebay name on the account. In paypal, it is shipped to .
Here are all the unbiased facts:
Buy it now:
GERRY CHEEVERS BOSTON BRUINS LUMBER 1/1 ITG ENSHRINED
End time: Dec-12-11 04:15:29 PST
Buyer Payment (end of day, Saturday, 5 days after hitting the BIN...):
Member id jetexpress21 Paid on Dec-17-11 15:33:10 PST via PayPal
Somehow a few of my auctions were skipped over for the immediate payment requirement for hitting the Buy it Now. This was one of them....lol. Ordinarily, this would be irrelevant in my mind except for the argument that it took me 3 business days to get it to the post, rather than my stated "usually ships withing 2 business days in the listing..." The item was attempted to be shipped on the 19th after an hour wait in line, but was turned away by an overzealous postal worker to be repacked for registered mail. APPARENTLY, paper tape of a distinct BROWN color must be used....white just will not do...anyway, another story entirely.

Skip forward to January 5 and I get this gem of a Christmas present:

has opened a dispute over the payment made to you on Dec 17,
2011 indicating that they never received the item.

STILL NOT RECIEVED
-----------------------------------
Transaction Details
-----------------------------------
Buyer's name:
Transaction date: Dec 17, 2011
Transaction amount: $164.99 USD
Disputed Amount: -$164.99 USD- The disputed amount has been temporarily
deducted from your account until the dispute is resolved
SO, paypal reverses withdrawal transactions that I placed the day before and freezes up my account until I send them the requisite amount. The only way to satisfy this immediately is by credit card and they charge YOU fees to make the payment...lol. Or, you can use your bank account to transfer the funds, but that will take 3-5 business days to rectify the negative in the account...meaning...in essence...I cannot pay for MY wins on eBay or any other purchases for 3-5 business days...SUPER!!
And, all of this with not the first message from the buyer. Not one. They even did it directly with Paypal and not even bothering with the confangled ebay message system thingy...:foottap::foottap:

Dear jetexpress21,
Hi Jared!
I do not understand why you would open an item not received dispute after 14 days knowing your item was coming from across the border as well as there being not a single negative feedback on my account with 1000+ rating and numerous recent positive feedback from abroad. Also, we have transacted numerous times over the course of 7 years. Did you not think it prudent or even fair to contact me about your item before freezing $165 of my funds beforehand? I'm sure you buy and sell internationally quite a bit and know it can take up to 4 weeks to receive mail around the holidays by registered mail. Please advise.

Buyer response, Jan-07-12 20:54....BY LEAVING NEGATIVE FEEDBACK>>>
communication could improve
Buyer:

Now, I understand that my writing comes across a bit stuffy, but where in any of that does it call for 1's on shipping time, shipping cost, item description, and communication across the board as well as a NEGATIVE??? This jackleg does not contact me at all. Then, can neither form complete sentences, nor spell correctly in his responses, yet MY communication is the one that is lacking? Seems a bit slanted on the scale to me... I will grant that I could be more please and thank you rather than matter of fact, but looking at the buyer's actions in the scenario leaves me a little flat for pleasantry...

Response 3 to buyer
Sent: Jan-09-12 08:12 AM:
Dear jetexpress21,
Hi Jared / Michael!
I do not understand how my communication deserves a negative comment as well as 1 star for all of my DSR ratings. I fulfilled my end of every aspect of the transaction with more than adequate resolve. I shipped quickly, securely and with the level of service I described. I have sold numerous items to you over the years with the same level of service. Perhaps, my last message was taken incorrectly, but the tone of it was direct and to the point. I do not apprecaite having my Paypal account disrupted without the first communication from you and then hit with a negative because I was not all please and thank you about it. I can only imagine the level of frustration you would have would the tables be turned. As of today, 2 days after you have received your $165 item, I have only a negative feedback to show for it. In the least, I would appreciate the decency of closing the paypal claim so that my funds may be released. There is simply no rational explanation for this behavior from a person who sells internationally as well. I ask you to step back and analyze the situation rationally and ask if all of this is warranted on my end with the level of service I have provided you. I encourage you to seek what is fair.
Sincerely,
Dr. Stephen M. Garr
I will update as things go on with this to see if I actually ever get my money or if the tool goes further with the BS activity.Last edited by patriotsguy; 01-09-2012 at 01:51 PM. Reason: no personal info posted on open boards please

I ran into a similar situation over the summer and called paypal because they gave the money back to the buyer AFTER confirmation of the card was received AND he it was relisted on eBay.
I hope you get this resolved in short order

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. No sense in taking a risk of letting this guy be another random ebay missile. He is now on my block list!Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd

The main reason why I dislike the fact sellers can even leave feedback at all. Buyers can leave whatever feedback they want without recourse. Giving the seller the choice to ONLY leave positive feedback sort of defeats the purpose of the feedback system to me.

Being that I am one of the biggest ITG guys domestically, I hate punishing the world for the act of one or two knotheads...it has definitely crossed my mind many times though.

Any progress on this case? Absolutely brutal to read - talk about abusing one's eBay priveliges as a buyer.
