Question Question about 10/11 totally certified ??????????

I don't collect basketball but I have a question about the green totally certified parallel's #ed to 5......... Why are they selling for crazy amounts of money and they are not autographed ... I was just wondering because some of these things I have seen going for almost 1,000 bucks for decent players.... Just wondering what was so special about these cards and if I need to try and buy a couple hobby boxes and hope for the best ... Thanks in advance

I think its do to the rarity for one, and for two, its the closest thing to pmg's we collectors have.

They are causing quite the stir which is absolutely great for the hobby. I think it's the rarity and aesthetics. 1 per case or something like that but the cards look really nice. It could also be a couple set builders going at it. Then it snowballs because once word gets out, everybody's buying lol

What's funny about Certified is when it first came out, A LOT of people were dissing the product saying they were bland and boring with the different colors with different numbered cards. I bet some of those people are now buying them like crazy trying to get the /5 and /25 now just because of what some of the cards are selling for now. About 3-4 months ago you could've bought the boxes for 85-90 dollars and now they've shot up to 135. To me, I don't think there's anything too special about it, I bought up 2 boxes and did well with what I got from the LCS.

I think it is alot of hype and rarity of them. All it takes is a couple people to try and collect a set /5 to raise prices. I like the look of the cards, but they aren't no pmg. I think the hype is good for us collectors. I do have some decent cards out of it and plan to hold onto most of them. I bought my last 2 boxes from Chris a couple days ago and hit a Green Patch of Chris Bosh. Too bad they aren't going for the prices of the base.... yet.

I don't completely understand it myself, but PMG's are hot, these look like PMG's and are numbered low like PMG's and are a cheaper alternative?

Haven't noticed a spike but I wouldn't be surprised if they did once the greens dry up.
