All Star Draft, kinda awkward
when they first announced this format for the game i thought it was kind of interesting but watching it for the 2nd year now it seems rather awkward or uncomfortable for the last few guys standing there hoping to be picked. that, compounded with the car the last guy gets as a consolation prize and the "how does it feel to be last picked" interview that follows, has made me not like this format so much now.
i'm sure they're still honored to be all stars but nobody wants to be picked last for anything...i've been there once or twice ;)
i'd like it to go back to east/west and see team mates with chemistry playing together.

It was awkward last year until Phil Kessel won a Honda Car for being picked last. Guys relish that spot.
It's all good-natured fun.Last edited by centrehice; 01-27-2012 at 11:19 PM.

I wish they had mixed it up a little... Sedins ended up together, Alfie/Chara both pick teammates and countrymen, Chara picked no Canuck players. All pretty predictable...

I'm sure Couture was thrilled go get a Honda Crosstour. He'll probably sell off his Range Rover now.

Who cares?
These are top 30, millionaires who better be able to handle a little fun
The consolation prize is a joke, these guys are millionaires, they don't need a consolation car because they were picked last
I'm sick of people feeling sorry for people with 50 million dollars, who cares if he got picked 30th, I'm sure the millions in his pocket can be flashed at anyone who makes fun of him for being picked 30th in the league

It's an add for Honda, costs them maybe $40 in scrap metal. You get picked last, you have to be the spokesmodel for 2 minutes.
And why does everyone forget the $20,000 in Couture's name going to the minor hockey program of his choice?
