Ultra Pro Platinum Sleeves & Pocket Pages

    Hello there,

I'm about to update my collection. All my PC cards will be stored in binders. I have had my eye on Ultra Pro Platinum supplies (sleeves and pocket pages). These are supposed to be really good, but some reviews state that the quality isn't good at all.

Is it worth paying the extra bucks for Platinum sleeves and pages or can you recommend any other products?

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated,

    -Ethan

Considering Ultra Pro is the top brand for card supplies, I'm curious to see what others have to say. I haven't read these bad reviews and always looked at Ultra Pro being the brand to trust.

Haven't had a problem with UltraPro stuff yet! I've made countless transitions before I settled on a 50/50 thing with Binders and boxes. Have fun!

Yeah I thought everybody used Ultra Pro pages. The last two Ultra Pro binders I bought were delivered with corners that had split open.

I have had a similar problem with one of my Ultra Pro binders. It's kind of annoying when it happens but my other binders are top notch.

I've bought 2 boxes of 9 pocket Ultra Pro Platinum in the past year that had a few pages with the bottom right pocket partially or still entirely sealed. I was able to carefully open them with a utility knife. Kinda annoying, but I still buy them since I haven't found any pages that are better.

I've had a couple of binders split but I've had no problems with the pages, I have most of my recent sets in binders. Don't buy the pages from Walmart/Target/TRU, but them from a hobby store. I made the mistake of buying the Walmart pages and there not the same.

How does everyone keep their collection? I have 4 players I collect that I go overboard with, I sleeve/top loader/team bag every card (even base) and usually keep them in a 3200 count card box.

I have some other players I casually collect and I just put them in sleeves only, still in the card box.

I miss having them in a binder to look at. I think I'll continue to overdo it on the 4 players for archival purposes, but for the others should I put them in binder pages?

Do you guys keep them in the sleeves when you put them in pages or without?

When I put a PC card in the pocket pages I always put the card in a sleeve first. Not only do they not get thrown around as much in the pocket, but it also protects the card.

I think collecting in a binder is so much fun. You get a quick overview of which cards you've got and which you don't - and it also requires less space when storing the cards.
